We have updated our website! We’ve been hard at work over the last year to make some changes to our website that we think will make a big impact. After a lot of brainstorming and discussion—and a ton of coffee—we decided it was high time we had a blog. So what kind of content can you expect? There will be plenty of product and industry related information, but we aim to bring more than that. Business changes all the time, and 2020 added challenges and unexpected hurdles, the likes of which most of us had never seen. So we wanted to build a space that served more than one purpose.

The winds of supply and demand are changing, and some people say it’s trending one way and some another. At WindShine, we can’t predict the future, but we do our best to be ready for it. The pandemic made one thing very clear for us as sales reps: interacting with our customers and getting reliable information to them just got even harder. Fortunately, technology has a solution. Many of us found ourselves stuck inside on a Zoom call or spending way more time on websites and phone calls. While we can expect to get back to “business as usual” to some degree, how much of this is here to stay?

It’s hard to tell, but it’s also difficult to ignore the benefits that technology allows. So as reps, we may be ready to get back out there and see our customers face-to-face, but we also acknowledge that it isn’t necessarily the best way to get information out there. Information is just easier to consume and digest when it’s written down, but it doesn’t have to be mundane. Which is why we plan on making some videos too! Okay, so we aren’t Steven Spielberg or New Line Cinema, but we figure a little entertainment never hurts.

We decided that we wanted our blog to serve as a knowledge base and somewhere you can consume information at your own pace, from product information to industry and technology trends, and so much more. We plan to tackle application uses, behind-the-scenes looks, and interviews with specialists, as well as share knowledge and experiences from our colleagues, associates and friends. This includes our customers and readers! We know that the best way we can overcome the challenges of progress is to do it together. So we hope that our customers and readers share their experiences with us, as well, which in turn will afford us the possibility of innovating and improving not only the products we represent, but also the way we do business. 

So how do you get access to the blog? We post directly to our website! There is an updated “Blog” section on the navigation bar on our website.  

Additionally, on our homepage you’ll find the top three most recent blog articles  automatically displayed in a slider just below the “welcome” banner. 

On the main blog page, you can even search for articles by categories and tags. This will be a useful feature as we add articles and our database grows. 

We are working on developing an email newsletter also, so if you wish to stay in the loop, you can sign up for that when it’s ready.
